Food is great, service is ok and it reminds me of eating in a kitchen. It is home cooking.
YUMMMYYYYY Recognized for all the right reasons. This place is immaculate for some simple Chinese food. We got: - beef wrap (6/10) - cucumbers (10/10) - xlb (10/10) - pork and leek dumplings (8/10) - pan fried buns (6/10)
3.5 really but came for lunch and it's a small shop with 10 tables max. Got the last table and ordered a few things from the nice lady who was running the shop. Orders the cabbage and pork dumplings, mixed beef noodles, fried noodles, and the egg pancake. I'd say go for the dumplings. It's what I believe they are known for and the best thing there. Plump and juicy! Skin was a bit thick but I love the carbs. The noods were also bouncy and thick. Feels and tastes very hand made. I wasn't a fan of the flavors of the sauces for the noodles. Fried noodles was a tomato egg concoction and mixed noodles was like a soy base. Meh. Egg pancake was also meh. The pancake portion needed to be sturdier to hold up to the egg. Would come back for the dumps and try all the other fillings and the potstickers. All else I'd skip.
A good local dumpling spot! It's a small restaurant with one person taking orders and bringing the food out, but the service was good and the food came out fairly quick. I came on New Year's Day and luckily didn't have to wait long for a table. Tried the following items: - Shrimp/pork and leek dumplings 12 pieces for $8.72 - Beef Noodle Soup $9.64 - Shrimp fried rice $8.89 - Juicy pork dumplings 8 pieces for $7.80 This is probably the best pricing you can find in the area. The steamed shrimp and leek dumplings were so good! I think you can get them pan fried so I'll definitely try that next time. The shrimp fried rice was also very tasty. Personally, I wouldn't order the juicy pork dumplings again because the filling was different and too sweet. The beef noodle soup comes with thick noodles - but I wasn't crazy about the flavor. However, I will definitely come back to try the other dumplings and items on the menu. Overall, great spot to check out!
I love this place! The woman who runs is or so sweet and works so hard. All of the dishes are delicious. The only thing I haven't cared for is the beef roll but everything else is great! I love the spicy wontons and they are the first place to rival the ones from A&J in Irvine. My son loves the potstickers so we get two orders. We also get the pork and leek dumplings. It's small but they usually have seats if you get there by 6pm. They serve cold and clean water (not tap) which is a plus.
